What It Means to Be a Designer, Artist, Lover of Art, or a Patron

I think the meaning of being a designer, artist, lover of art, or a patron applies to the question: What Is Art? 
What I mean is, it can have a similar answer.
Art can be defined in many different ways by people. Everyone has their own style, their own uniqueness in art. Or they can be inspired by other artists.
I believe the same applies here. Being a Designer, Artist, Lover of art, or a patron can have a series of different meanings. My meaning of this will obviously differ from others.

Then, I think about where these artists came from, and what they have brought to the United States in relation to Art & Design.
